Distinguishing Features: Leaves are deeply five lobed and underside of leaves is whitened.

Shape: 40 to 60 feet tall
Branching: Opposite
Leaf: Lobed leaves, 2 to 10 inches, 5 lobes
Flower: Small, somewhat showy dull reddish orange in early Spring. Male and female flowers on separate branches of tree.
Bark: Grayish bark that tends to flake leaving brown spots
Fruit or Seed: Samaras, 1.3-2.3 inches long, maturing in June.
