Distinguishing Features: Seed wings have wide angle, mature in the fall and stay on the tree late, leaf has a rectangular shape (wider than it is tall)

Shape: 40 to 60 feet tall, round and densely branched
Branching: Opposite
Leaf: Lobed, 4 to 7 inches across, milky sap when stem is broken
Flower: Small and many yellow-green flowers
Bark: Grey-black with shallow ridges and furrows
Fruit or Seed: Samaras, 1.5 to 2 inches long, green or tan
