The Rio Grande Chirping Frog or Mexican Chirping Frog (Eleutherodactylus cystignathoides) is a small Leptodactylid frog found from the southern United States in scattered locales in the state of Texas, Louisiana, and south into the Mexican states of Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, and Veracruz. It is a terrestrial frog, that lays its eggs in moist areas of soil and leaf litter. It is quite common throughout its range.
