What are we to do about the western subspecies of "P. acuminatum," one of which is extremely rare and recognized as a state endangered species?

I've asked several people to help generate a list of output taxa, but no one has responded after several months (years?), so I'm just going to commit this as is. :\ Both P. acuminatum and D. acuminatum are pretty much wastebasket taxa anyway, so there would have to be a new sensu stricto D. acuminatum anyway, and that can be work for someone else at a later date...
