SA iNaturalists - May 2021 Update

This May saw 9,447 observations covering 1,772 species from a total of 394 observers. There were 90 species receiving their first iNat record in SA. This month there were 82 new observers contributing their first observations in SA. Upon this months observations, 471 identifiers contributed a total of 16,275 identifications.
Uploads for SA at the end of May stand at 208,113 observations of 7,698 species from 3,272 observers with, as of today, 3,801 identifiers providing 378,465 identifications.

Ever wondered which species you haven't yet seen? You can find this in your Dynamic Life List. On the web version of iNat, head to your Profile Page and select Lists. Here you'll find your automatically updated Dynamic Life List. On the right side of the screen you can select Unobserved Species. Below this you can Filter By Place. You can type in most local places including conservation parks, council areas or the whole state. Here are a few examples from my Dynamic Life List: Species I've not observed in Belair National Park, and Birds I've not seen across all of SA.

Citizen scientists needn't feel isolated by distance when experienced naturalists like Alan, Insiderelic and Geoff give such quick, useful feed-back. Great work guys.
